The Riskiest Thing You Can Do Is _ _ _ _ _ _ _!!

In my last post I wrote to you about Ewen Chia’s Autopilot Profits. I received several emails from folks who couldn’t believe it was true, but judging by the sales, disbelief didn’t stop a lot of you. Or maybe it was just the stupid low price?

Anyway, here are a few questions I received. I thought these might help . . .

Q. “Is this difficult to do?”

You Can’t Stop It, Even If You Want To

Would you believe a system that sends you non-stop cash, even if you don’t want it to? Neither would I! But . . .

When I was a kid, computers were great big things hidden deep in the recesses of large corporations. Whenever there was any kind of error, employees always blamed the computer. “It’s a computer error, so sorry, we’ll get it fixed!” That doesn’t include my Commodore 64 running the latest copy of “Lemonade Stand” from a 5″ floppy.

One time I heard of a guy getting a check from his phone company for $1000, a huge sum of money to a kid. He wasn’t owed this money, and when he contacted the company about it, they said they would fix it. So they sent him another check . . .

. . .and another check . . .

. . .and another check . . .

This went on every day for two months before it finally stopped. WOW! I was so excited! Maybe some big company would start sending ME big checks for no reason! I never did receive those checks from the big computer in the company basement. But that didn’t stop me from dreaming. :-)

I forgot all about that guy and his non-stop checks until today, when I visited Ewen Chia’s site. Check out his headline:

$500 to $2000 in 4 months with PLR Content

Before we dive back into the final tips for getting the most out of article marketing, I wanted to present a short case study — really just a usage example — of PLR content.

Chris Marshall uses PLR content very effectively, and in a conversation I had with him, he shared some of his tips for rewriting PLR content to get the most value out of it.

Chris started in PPC advertising, so he knows a thing or two about optimization. Before Chris began using PLR content, he was doing quite well in AdSense compared to most average users. He went from
doing about $500 per month with just 15-20 sites, to spring boarding to $2000 per month and 170 sites, in just 4 short months using PLR content.

Chris attributes this growth directly to his usage of PLR Pro content.

Now, is $2,000 a lot? Well that depends on your perspective. For auto-pilot sites, $2,000 a month for little maintenance effort is better than a kick in the pants. PLR Rewriting

One of the biggest problems that people have when they get their articles is that they don’t know how to rewrite them. This is the beauty of PLR Pro’s content. It is already expertly researched, targeted, and written, so you can use the existing content and structure as an outline of sorts for your new article.

It’s not really that hard; all you need to do is look at the article you are rewriting, and just break it down into bite-sized chunks so that you can digest it effectively.

The most common strategy is to read each paragraph individually and then rewrite it in your own words. This is a very effective form of rewriting, and generally takes me about 15-20 minutes per article (a 75% time savings).

The second way you can go about the rewrite is to do a mind map of what is covered in the article, and then write about each of the major points. Mind maps are simple to learn, and are fantastic for keeping ideas, taking notes, and rewriting articles.

So those are the the two primary ways to rewrite articles. They’re not fancy, and it’s not out of this world stuff, but it works. As a side note, there are plenty of services out there that will compare an article side by side, and tell you how different they are from one another.

Favorite Opportunity of 2008

Here’s what this is all about . . .

Just last week I was on the phone with my friend Ken (he works for the datacenter where my servers are located) and he gave me a great auto-pilot idea that he gleamed from a book he just read. This type of thing is right up my alley, as I’m always looking for ways to turn a profit with auto-pilot income.

I hopped on Ebay, moved about to verify the opportunity, and then kicked myself. Hard. Why didn’t I think of this??? I’m a smart guy, how did THIS escape me?

So then Ken told me about the author. Maybe you’ve heard of Alex Goad? Well, I’ve also heard his name kicked around here and there but never really paid much attention because I figured he was just one of those “hypey” and bogus Internet marketing gurus out there promising the world and not really delivering.

But Ken said Alex’s book came with his highest recommendations (and that’s something that doesn’t come lightly from a man who has been marketing on the Web since 1994 and who I trust because of his savvy advice).

Well, I loved the auto-pilot idea, and then with Ken’s recommendation, that was all I needed to hear to give this guy’s book a shot — and to say I was blown away with the information inside is putting it mildly!

I was up until 3:00 in the morning devouring everything in this book. In fact, I was able to pull out several outstanding ideas right away from only the first few chapters. Some of these ideas are completely new, “I can do that?” ideas. And some are complementary ideas that I can use to add to my existing projects.

That one I metioned above I conservatively estimate will be worth $12,000 to $16,000 this year in added revenues. Sure, I won’t retire on it, but it’ll make 2008 much more comfortable for me! Needless to say, this is certainly changing the direction of my upcoming projects.

I’m sure you’ve noticed that this group is very tightly focused around blogging: specifically, learning to blog for six figures, redirecting traffic to blogs, and monetizing blogs. I rarely step outside this framework.

Until today. You probably realize by now that I’m a fan of multiple income streams. And I like to remain current on breaking developments in all of the industries I follow. That means that I end up following a lot of clunkers and dogs, because 95 percent of new developments are just noise. Keywords: Are you being DECEIVED?

I received an interesting question from a reader the other day. Or rather, two questions.

“Does search engine optimization really work to drive traffic? And if so, how do I, someone who’s not a techie person by any means, do it?”
